An Early Christmas Present for the Farm

If you're going to give yourself anything for Christmas and you live on a farm what could be better than a pair of baby reindeer? Nothing.

Meet Cupid and Blitzen (both boys) who are joining our older reindeer Dancer on the Farm just in time to delight everyone for the festive season.

And we have a few interesting facts about reindeer that you may not know...

Within 90 minutes of being born, reindeer calves can run as fast as an Olympic sprinter. In a matter of hours, they can keep up with the herd.

The Sami people of Scandinavia and the Kola peninsula of Russia have herded reindeer and used them as draft animals since the 17th century.

Believe it or not, reindeer actually do have red noses like Rudolph! Well, sort of… Lots of tiny veins circulate warm blood around their nose, heating the air they breathe in so they don’t get cold.
